Who We Are

Who We Are:
We are a small, non-profit, no-kill rescue organization in Houston, TX.  All of
our animals are rescuees who would have been euthanized due to
spacial restrictions by City Shelters or even by their owners because they had
no further use for them.  Some have behavior issues, others have health
issues, but they all have one thing in common - they are all the most precious
gifts from God and teach us every day the meaning of true, unconditional love.
Our Purpose:
To educate the public on Humane Practices, including the importance of Spays
and Neuters, so that one day there will be no more homeless pets and Shelters
will be obsolete.
Care:
All of the Sanctuary Animals are cared for by Volunteer Foster Families who
open their homes and hearts.  We provide all food, supplies and medical care.
Last year
13,140 Manhours were dedicated to rescue and care by our
selfless members.   Already in 2008
1,460 Manhours have been dedicated.
Why We Do What We Do:
There are thousands of pets who are neglected, abused and abandoned on a
daily basis.  People leave their pets with only a bag of food when their homes
are foreclosed on, or they dump them at the end of some dark country road at
night to fend for themselves because they just don't want them anymore.
Is
this illegal?
Yes.  Are the people responsible for this caught and
punished?
No.  Why not?  Because the penalties for animal cruelty
within our Judicial System are not severe enough and there are
not enough Enforcement Officers to go around.

You can make a difference - by helping us help them.
